What are stink bugs?

Stink bugs scientific name is Halyomorpha halys.  They are brown bugs with a shield shape.

What are signs of stink bugs?

Stink bugs feed on garden plants - they love tomatoes. You may see brown spots on your apples, corn, or tomotoes (to name a few).  In the winter months, they hibernate under leaves, crops, and weeds. The stink bugs come back out in the spring.

Stink bugs may use your home as a safe place away from the harsh weather. They are often found around areas that emit light and are warm such as windows, TVs, computers, etc. They release a chemical to tell other stink bugs they have moved in.  They, also, release the stink to keep predators away. This is why you need to take precautions to keep them out!

How to get rid of stink bugs?

When you see stink bugs around your garden, naturally kill them by sprinkling Scram Crawling Insect Killer around your plants. Scram will not harm your plants or earthworms.  You can apply Scram Crawling Insect Killer in the areas around your home where you think they are coming in such as baseboards, windows, etc. If possible, fill any cracks or crevices so they can get inside.
